PMK Enlisted to Officer Practice Test

Enlisted members who apply to the U.S. Naval Academy but are not selected are considered for the Navy Prep School (NAPS). This program is designed to help prepare enlisted sailors for future admission to the Naval Academy by enhancing their academic skills, leadership abilities, and overall readiness for the rigors of the Academy.

NAPS offers a structured environment where these individuals can strengthen their academic foundations, particularly in subjects that are critical for success at the Academy, such as mathematics and science. The program also fosters leadership qualities and physical fitness, essential components of military excellence. Successful completion of NAPS can improve one’s chances of gaining a spot at the Naval Academy in subsequent application cycles, as it demonstrates commitment and preparedness.

The other programs mentioned, such as the NROTC Program, direct commission opportunities, and Marine Corps programs, do not specifically serve as a fallback for those not selected for the Naval Academy but cater to different pathways and roles within the Navy and Marine Corps.
